Fans of Channel 4’s hit show Posh Pawn have been left dismayed after one of the stars of the programme Jo Lawlor, known by her friends and new fan base as the ‘Queen of Banter’, left the show. The TV personality decided to quit the show following an argument with owner of Prestige Pawn James Constantinou.

Series Posh Pawn centres on high-end pawn shop Prestige Pawn, with customers bringing in a range of exclusive items, from designer vintage handbags to helicopters. During her time on the show personal assistant Jo Lawlor amassed a legion of fans thanks to her sense of humour, banter and lively personality that kept James Constantinou in check.

While James Constantinou has commented on social media that Jo Lawlor had decided to leave the show as she wasn’’t happy commuting from Weybridge to London before introducing his new personal assistant. Jo Lawlor has since refuted these claims, instead explaining her decision to leave followed an argument. This argument was the straw that broke the camel’’s back, influencing Jo’s decision to leave.

Jo Lawlor, Former Executive Personal Assistant on Posh Pawn and TV Personality, said, “”To say that I decided to leave Posh Pawn due to commuting simply isn’t true. I made the decision not to return to series two of the show after an argument with James, I don’t want to go into the details of the clash. I was gutted as I loved the job, as well as our friendship and working relationship, but there was a lot more to it than just the commute.””

With screen time under her belt and a loyal following of fans, Jo Lawlor has now set her sights on launching her own career as a TV personality and public figure. She is available to be interviewed, review products and comment on a range of other TV shows or topics.
